With a ton of new and returning Guests of Honor, Anime Central 2001 enjoyed a prosperous weekend of excitement as fans lined up for autographs and packed into all the panel sessions to hear and talk about the latest projects each have been working on.

Shin Nagasawa (center): A freelance illustrator for Newtype Magazine's website, Nagasawa is currently working for GONZO Studios on a new anime project.  Yoshio Yamakawa (right): One of the most respected 3D modelers and designers in the Japanese video game industry, Yamakawa currently works for a major Japanese video game company and some of his art can be seen on a number of American released RPG games. Yoshitoshi Abe (second from right): Best known for his work on serial experiments lain, Abe has worked on large amount of digital works, the most common being NieA_7 which aired last summer in Japan.  Range Murata (far right): Best known as illustrator and character designer for Blue Submarine Number 6, Murata has also done work for popular magazines such as Kairakuten, Ultra Jump, and Comickers as well as contributing character designs for console games for Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn.
Wendee Lee: One of the most popular voice actresses in the English anime dubbing business, Wendee is best known for her role as Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop as well as Vanessa in Robotech, Kagero in Ninja Scroll, Ayaka in Phantom Quest Corps, Umi in Magic Knight Rayearth, Casey in The Big O, and Twilight Suzuka in Outlaw Star. Yuko Kagata: Ms. Kagata brought her wonderful voice best known from such anime characters as Boy A in Steam Detectives, Haruna in Collector Yui, Madame Maiko in Uchuujin Tanaka Tarou, and Futami Shion in the PlayStation and Dreamcast games Memories Of and Memories Of Complete. Lisa Ortiz: One of the most popular and humorous ladies in the voice acting anime business, Lisa is best known for her roles as Linna Inverse in Slayers, Deedlit in Record of Lodoss Wars TV series, and Aza in Irresponsible Captain Tylor. Mika Akitaka: Working as mechanical designer for Silent Mobius, Martain Successor Nadesico, and a number of Gundam series including 0080: War in the Pocket, 0083: Stardust Memory, and Gundam ZZ, Akitaka is best known for his creations of MS Girls and Galaxy Fraulein Yuna.
Scott McNeil: The girls and guys love Scott as Duo Maxwell in Gundam Wing, as well as Piccolo in DragonBall Z. He also brought with him vocal experience as Rat-trap, Waspinator, and Silverbolt from Beast Wars/Beast Machines, Lord Raptor in Night Warriors, Harlock in Galaxy Express 999/Adieu Galaxy Express 999, Logan/Wolverine in X-Men Evolution, and Principal Kuno in Ranma 1/2. He has also starred in a number of television shows such as Highlander, Hawkeye, and The Outer Limits. Kirby Morrow: Equally as popular as his friend Scott, Kirby brought his vocal talents as Trowa from Gundam Wing, Van Fanel in The Vision of Escaflowne, Piccolo Chardin from Ranma 1/2, Akira from Z-Mind, and Gokuu from DragonBall Z. He has also done vocal work in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Nascar Racers, X-Men, and has starred in a large number of television shows and feature films such as Seven Days, The Outer Limits, Total Recall: 2070, and Stargate SG1. Steve Bennett: Co-founder and Art Director of Studio Ironcat, Steve has worked on a number of anime titles such as apprentice animator for New Dominion Tank Police, Lupin III, Cat's Eye, and Urusei Yatsura. Steve currently spearheads Studio Ironcat in striving to publish Japanese manga for the American market and also heads his popular Cel Painting Workshop. Brett Weaver (left): Best known for his voice roles as Carrot Glace in Sorcerer Hunters, Tora in Ushio and Tora, and Gai Daigoji in Martian Successor Nadesico. He has also done work in Burn Up W, Battle Angel, Evangelion, and Those Who Hunt Elves.  Amy Howard Wilson (right): Most popularly known for her outstanding role as Nova in Starblazers, Amy is now the voice of Miranda in Irresponsible Captain Tylor and enjoys touring the country and getting to know all her Starblazing fans.
Doug Smith: Best known for his voice acting roles as Kintaro in Goldenboy, he has also done vocal work for Dragon Knight, Sorcerer Hunters, Burn Up W!, Plastic Little, Slayers: The Motion Picture, Dirty Pair Flash, Bubblegum Crisis 2040 and much more.  He currently works for Studio Ironcat with buddy Steve Bennett designing covers such as Futaba-kun Change and Ogenki Clinic. Kia Asamiya: Best known for his work on the popular manga works Silent Mobius, GunHed, Compiler, Assembler, Dark Angel, Steam Detectives, Martian Successor Nadesico, and Mobius Klein, he has been recently working more on a Japanese version of Batman, Dark Angel: Phoenix Resurrection, and Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace. Scott Frazier: Best known as president, producer, and director at Production I.G. which worked on popular titles such as Ghost in the Shell, Blood, and Jinroh, Scott brounght with him extensive experience as an American who taught himself how to leap over the perils of adapting to and being successful in the Japanese anime industry.

Bruce Lewis: Stylish and debonaire Bruce leads the manga drawing workshops backed with experience from his work on American released comics Starblazers, Gall Force Eternal Story, Votoms, and Robotech: Invid War Aftermath.

Also attending as Guests were C.B. Cebulski from Fanboy Entertainment, Jeff Thompson from The Right Stuf International, Robert DeJesus from Ninja High School, and Shin Kurokawa from AnimEigo.
