Anime Central 2001 enjoyed an explosion of new costumes! With new entries from Guilty Gear X, Escaflowne, Sera Myu, Pretty Sammy, and much more, the cosplayer population has grown considerably since last year. Hundreds of avid cosplay fans traveled from near and far to celebrate the anime weekend by dressing up in many different costumes, all stylish, simple, elegant, and sexy, and even posing in character form for the enjoyment of surrounding fans. To many, cosplaying is a welcome relief from the grim "real world" into a fantasy world of lights, cameras, and lots of friends to enjoy the exciting convention experience with.
