Panels! Panels! Panels!  More panels than you can shake a stick at and then some!  AX2000 offered a huge four-day weekend variety of panels galore featuring many esteemed Guests of Honor, noted fans, and industry representatives from as far as Japan all heading healthy discussions on various exciting anime and manga-related topics ranging from new shows, fan activities, industry follow-ups, historical perspectives, and other forms of fan entertainment lasting well into the night.  Packed full of attendees, every single panel or activity offered something to learn from, whether you were into the discussion subject or not, as shown below with a brief description of each session.

Sunday Panels Gallery 7

Studio Pierrot gave a broad history of its most popular shows involving high-profile character designers, directors, and producers with commentary and fan Q&A.  A short list of shows that Studio Pierrot has produced that received thunderous applause from the above crowded room: Urusei Yatsura, Creamy Mami, Magical Emi, Kimagure Orange Road, Yu Yu Hakesho, Fushigi Yuugi, Clamp Detectives, Fancy Lala, Power Stone, GTO, Tenshi Ni Naru Mon!, and Ayashi No Ceres.
Mr. Yutaka Minowa's (center) focus panel where he discussed his involvement with the new exciting Vampire Hunter D movie as well as Escaflowne the Movie and Outlaw Star. Mr. Hideki Mitsui (left) and Ms. Aya Matsui (center), the husband and wife screenwriting team of numerous anime shows talked about how they got involved in turning stories into moving pictures and keeping faithful to the original manga or written story concepts. 
AX2000 Masquerade panel where Paul Wilson (AX96 Masquerade coordinator) and Marisa Price (AX2000 Masquerade coordinator) showed the full video of the previous night's event and offered contestants and interested cosplayers helpful advice on how they can improve their skits or costumes to keep audiences delighted.
