Katsucon 9 cast a bright spotlight for 2003 with a huge turnout of Guests of Honor from Japan and North America as well as a much larger turnout of excited fans.  With lots of special events just around the corner, it was hard to find time to hunker down and find time to see the Dealers Hall sometimes!  In this large 5 page section, we've got a great report of the Cosplay Competition Night along with some of the Awards!

  Win Richard Kim's Pocky Game Show: Contestants vied for prizes and a leap forward into anime and pocky trivia madness with subjects involving Mazinger Z, Evangelion, Shoujo pronunciations, Daicon, El Hazard, Fushigi Yugi, Robotech, Final Fantasy, Digi Charat, Nadesico, Macross, Kimagura Orange Road, and much more!  Prizes for those hard-working contestants consisted of neat mini-boxes of pocky!
There was plenty to do at Katsu in many of the main events halls and smaller function rooms as fans got to meet the esteemed Guests of Honor or catch a showing of their favorite anime in one of the three video rooms showing anime around the clock.  Some of the main events highlights were the Duel Jewel J-Rock concert, encore showings of the KatsuCon 9 Anime Music Videos, Art Auction, Charity Auction, and much more.
