Panels! Panels! Panels!  More panels than you can shake a stick at and then some!  AX2001 offered a huge four-day weekend variety of panels galore featuring many esteemed Guests of Honor, noted fans, and industry representatives from as far as Japan all heading healthy discussions on various exciting anime and manga-related topics ranging from new shows, fan activities, industry follow-ups, historical perspectives, and other forms of fan entertainment lasting well into the night.  Packed full of attendees, every single panel, workshop, or activity offered something to learn from, whether you were into the discussion subject or not, as shown below with a brief description of each session.

 TokyoPop / Mixx: Representatives gave progress reports on their recent work involving new anime soundtracks, game soundtracks, and more Best of Anime song compilation releases.  Other highlights included Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger game soundtracks still in the works and Code Veronica is expected to be single-disc due to the costs of a huge shipment into the mainstream market.
 New Generation Pictures: Representatives including Jonathan Klein (left; President) and Taliesin Jaffe (right; actor and director) spoke about featured production releases including new Nazca episodes, Neia Under 7, Amazing Nurse Nanako, 3x3 Eyes, and new voices for upcoming 3x3 Eyes releases.
 Voice Acting Demonstration and Audience Dub-Your-Own-Anime: With spirited assistance by students from Nippon Engineering College, as well as helpful commentary and vocal advice by esteemed voice acting teachers and anime voice actors Akira Kamiya (Ryo from City Hunter) and Takumi Yamazaki (Isamu Dysan from Macross Plus), attendees could participate in dubbing their own voices for a yet-to-be released anime episode of Galaxy Angel from Brocilli / Bandai Visual.  Numerous sessions were held across all four days with amazing success and wide popularity as audience members learned about what it takes to be a voice actor in a real studio, rehearsing voices and finally putting them onto tape.
 Tokuma / Legend of Galactic Heroes: Producers of the most amazing and one of the longest running science fiction anime of all time Noboru Ishiguro (left) and Yukio Kikukawa (right) spoke out for the gleeful fans of spaceward angst and wartime politics.  Brief details were given about the AX2001 35mm Film Premiere of Legend of Galactic Heroes the Movie: My Conquest is the Sea of Stars, as well as information about the various characters and intricate plot developments within the series.  Highlights also included a Jankenpo raffle of prizes such as cels for the above Legend of Galactic Heroes cosplayers (left posing as Yang Wen-Li, leader of the Alliance of Free Planets, and right posing as Rheinhard von Musel of The Galactic Empire).
