Friday Game Show:
The RAGE continued the trivia festival with notable
name-that-song-clip questions from shows including: Ranma 1/2, Card
Captor Sakura, Project A-ko, Street Fighter, Digimon, Tenchi Muyou,
Pretty Sammy, Trigun, El Hazard, Bubblegum Crisis, Utena, Evangelion,
Devil Hunter Yohko, Rurouni Kenshin, and many more. And yet again,
numerous contestants fought bravely and winners smiled as they walked
away with prizes including more manga, anime CDs, shitajiki boards, and
far too much to remember.

Digital
Manga / Synch Point: Focusing on the popular anime series Tenshi
ni Narumon ("I'm Gonna be an Angel!"), Digital Manga noted the
domestic release of the show will have different scripts for the
subtitled and dubbed versions and fans can expect a lot of quality and
production effort to go into making these possible for TNNM fans
everywhere. Digital Manga representatives included Tomoko Kawakami ((center)
Japanese voice of Utena from Revolutionary Girl Utena and Noelle from Tenshi ni
Narumon), Diana
Kou ((second right in Noelle costume) English voice actress for Noelle
from Tenshi ni Narumon), Fusako Shiotani (English voiceover director),
and Stephanie Sheh (producer). Notable highlights included humorous
Japanese and English vocal demonstrations of the main character Noelle
much to the excitement of the audience. |

Convention
Photography: Hosted by Widya Santoso (cosplayer and convention
reports database), Dennis Carr (cosplayer and cosplayer photographer),
Kevin Lillard (FansView
convention press photographer), and Lionel Lum (Usagichan.com
convention photographer), experienced photographers in the audience
gathered some advice on getting better at capturing action shots in
various crowded and abnormal lighting conditions. A picture speaks
a thousand words, and the better the picture is, the more value it has
to last in the minds of many. Topics included each photographers
information, background, and applied skills on using various digital
gadgetry versus conventional film-type cameras, light metering using
matrix or spot methods, second-degree interests
that help photographers practice using their cameras better, differences
in skills based on speed (sports action) versus taking time (natural
scenery), seeking out
the best solutions in a convention environment where the action is nonstop, and
charging through numerous photographic challenges to produce extremely
noteworthy photos.
