Panels and Workshops 1

Thursday Game Show: The RAGE hosted this year's wild romp through anime and manga cerebral paranoia as contestants played for tons of big-name prizes.  The first day hammered players with round after round of questions involving shows such as: Slayers, Robotech, Yuyu Hakesho, Saber Marionette S, Sailor Moon, Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, Fushigi Yugi, You're Under Arrest, Ghost in the Shell, Nadesico, Video Girl Ai, Macross, Plastic Little, Escaflowne, and many more.  And when the dust settled, many lucky contestants walked away with fabulous prizes such as manga books, anime CDs, posters, wall scrolls, and a load of other stuff (words cannot describe everything that was packed into the prize bags).

Sera Myu: American cosplay group Sailor JAMboree and Japanese cosplayers Barbie and Kaie were on hand for many fans of Sera Myu (also known as Sailor Moon Musicals in Japan) to answer a storm of questions on how to find the showtimes, get tickets, and most of all, how to meet the stars of the show.  Like Phantom of the Opera, Sera Myu has gained a wide acceptance among female Sailor Moon fans for the sparkly stage musical costumes and the countless limited edition collectibles.
Past, Present, and Future Anime Fans in Japan: (left to right) Taka Karahashi (interpreter), Mr. Hiroaki Inoue of AIC / Oniro and chairman of WorldCon Japan 2007 committee, and Yuki Kikukawa of Legend of Galactic Heroes production spoke about the energy and enthusiasm of fans and contemporary anime today and about how major international animation production industries are gathering together to make WorldCon 2007 the biggest ever for the anime world.
Bishounen Lovers Anonymous: Hosted by Michelle Merriman, Julia Stringham, Whitney Jackson, and additional friends, the audience enjoyed discussions delving into the hearts and souls of beautiful boys and men to the tune of cat calls and much applause.  The panel also held a Bishounen Quiz contest for which audience members could rack their brains to win some anime and manga prizes featuring, of course, bishounen as the subjects.
EX Online Magazine: (left to right) EX Staffers Scanner, Keith Rhee, Charles McCarter, and Scott Frazier relayed to dedicated fans the new plans to take EX to higher levels of speed and quality for exclusive anime and manga news and features.  By ridding of the old issue format, EX proudly rolled out its new single issue format that would have new articles and features dropped in every few days, certainly a welcome move for Internet fans everywhere.
