Packing in the attendees, every panel offered something to learn from, whether you were into the discussion subject or not, as shown below with a brief description of each session.  This weekend's explorations delved straight into the heart of current fandom that lies in the surging excitement of fan fiction, cosplay, collectors gatherings, as well as new and exciting anime shows, video games, and manga to focus on for the next year.

Anime Crafts Martha Stewart Style: Prairie Rose Clayton of http://www.hooverdam.net/trigun/ held an amazing anime crafts panel with a discussion about how one can celebrate any occasion in style and on a small budget with simple materials and good anime references.  For this panels, Prairie demonstrated her pumpkin carving skills with an accurate reproduction of a character from Spirited Away for Halloween.  Of course, that's not all she can do!  Interested parties can contact her or attend more anime cons about anime crafts to get information on more cool crafts for any special occasion like Easter or Christmas.

 

 

Dubs That Time Forgot: Mike O'Toole, Dave Merrill, and Neil Nadelman led this excellent panel on those evil English dubs that time conveniently forgot.  Subjects of scrutiny included shows like Dr. Slump, Gulliver, Roger Rascal, Spectreman, Treasure Island, and Tekkaman.  Topics included goofy accents, weird scripts, wacky characters, and overall just plain bad dubbing.
Rethinking Anime Cons: Representatives from numerous anime cons like Anime Central, AWA, Otakon, AFO, SugoiCon, Anime Next, NekoCon, Katsucon, and others educated the audience how the difficulties of running a con, the biggest parties of the year.  Topics involved management roles, logistics, technical issues, budgets, hotels, memberships, and keeping the faith with basic anime club philosophy.
