Main Events

Ceremonies and Special Events: Legions of fans attended many of the special big events held in the
main ballroom.  From ceremonies to game shows to celebrity Q&A sessions, this year's crop of events filled up
the weekend and then some!  From the east to the west, Sakura-con never disappoints with  Special Guests of
Honor including angela ( Musical Group), Ippongi Bang (Manga Artist), Kumiko Kato (Musical Artist), Hiroki Kikuta
(Composer), Hiroshi Nagahama (Director), Ikue Ohtani (Voice Actress), Tatsuo Sato (Director), Run Sasaki
(Voice Actress), Greg Dean (Web Comic artist), Penny Arcade ((Gabe and Tycho) Web Comic Artists), Kevin
McKeever (Harmony Gold Operations Coordinator), Dan Woren (Voice Actor), Travis Willingham (Voice Actor),
Tommy Yune (Harmony Gold Creative Director).
Bakazoku Anime Improv: Longtime award-winning cosplay troupe Bakazoku entertained the crowd with more than a little comedy, they also got fans involved in the process of putting themselves in humorous stage situations.  This was as random and insanely fun as it got and conveniently set the tone for the big cosplay contest that followed.

Cosplay Contest and Fashion Runway Show: From Sailor Moon to Full Metal Alchemist, Saturday afternoon's Cosplay Contest saw a large number of walk-ons and enjoyable skits to entertain the audiences.  If you didn't catch many of the cosplayers wandering around in the halls, then this was surely the place to see them strut their stuff on stage as well as in the Fashion Runway Show held on Sunday.

Dreamcatchers: Following in the footsteps of Bakazoku, Dreamcatchers held the wheel with numerous endeavors including voice acting, skit musicals, and much more.
Concerts: J-pop singing sensations Kumiko Kato and angela really powered up the crowds with their hit singles and wonderfully entertaining performances that captured the stage like no other.  Check out more of the concert pictures in the Concerts section!
