The number one toy and hobbyist shopping arena in Japan, Akihabara is packed with all kinds of neat stores, most of them ordinary from the outside, but packed with all the great stuff inside.  The main attraction: the super low prices.  We managed to see Yellow Submarine (toys and modeler hobby), Volks (toys and modeler hobby), two Liberty stores (CDs, DVDs, LDs), First Point (tech-enthusiast hobby and computers), T-Zone (high end computer shopping), Animate (anime and manga), Digital Manga (anime and manga and the cozy Gamer's Cafe), and numerous other buildings with anime and manga literally packed to the ceilings and printed with low prices.  Did LLNN take this opportunity to buy stuff?  Are you crazy?  Paying prices only half of that in the US?  Of course!  LLNN damage report: Big Scale 1/625 Space Battleship Yamato model, 2 YF19a 3rd Version Valkyries (VF2 Game Style), 6 SD mini-cars, and a great pancakes and coffee from Gamer's Cafe!
