Similar
to Shibuya, Shinjuku is also packed with many fashion and electronics
stores, but is more well-known for the Studio Alta building and the huge
population of fashionable and really odd restaurants aimed at young
Japanese with plenty of money to spend. Shinjuku also harbors many
gambling casinos, pachinko parlors, and love hotels (take note: don't you
dare take pictures, because you may not come out alive!) that bring in
many salarymen, office ladies, and of course foreigners looking for a good
time. But take heart, Shinjuku is quite safe with lots to see with
the trendy coffee parlors, ramen shops, flashy video gaming shops, and
much more than even the typical Japanese citizen can indulge in a few
days. |
