Anime Expo New York enjoyed the largest celebration of Japanese Animation right in the middle of New York City's Times Square, with numerous major events going on throughout the day and night shown below.

Ceremonies: Guests of Honor gathered before the audience to announce their grand arrivals and were glad to be with their fans from all around the United States.  Highlights from the ceremonies included the drawing of he eyes on the traditional daruma, a sign of good luck and a successful convention weekend.


 Film Premieres: Big Apple Anime Festival was sponsor to some of the Guests of Honor and also screened many anime movies in 35mm right across the street including: Cowboy Bebop, Mobile Suit Gundam Char's Counterattack, Jin-Roh, Ghost in the Shell, Princess Mononoke, Roujin-Z, Perfect Blue, and many more.
 
Meet the Guests Reception: Attendees got a rare chance to speak with their anime gods and goddesses at the panels, but how often do you get to sit down and really ask the questions you want answered!
 Inu-Yasha Party: Viz Communications held an exclusive party up at Planet Hollywood across the street to celebrate with fans and industry guests.
