Panels! Panels! Panels! More panels than you can shake a stick at and then some! Anime Central 2004 offered a huge variety of panels galore featuring many esteemed Guests of Honor, noted fans, and industry representatives from the domestic anime kingdoms all heading healthy discussions on various exciting topics ranging from new shows, fan activities, industry follow-ups, and other forms of fan entertainment lasting all throughout the day. Packed full of attendees, every single panel or activity offered something to learn from. If only school or work meetings were this stimulating.

Voice Acting Roundtable: East Meets West: In one of the greatest guests meets of all time, guests of honor Greg Ayres, Vic Mignogna, Monica Rial, and Shinichi Watanabe apoke about the whole East and West differences when it comes to voice acting. Topics included differences in timing and voice tracks, the need or lack of need to match up to lip sync, sound engineering that can stretch or contract voice speeds, being comfortable in the voice studios, and more.

Character and Mecha Design: Character designers and mecha designers joined forces to shed light upon the processes of drawing up all those cool robots, ships, and cute girls.  Topics included conceptual designs in graphics and different medias, composing art for magazine ads or video games, 3D animation essentials, challenges to be drawing something from nothing, meshing art styles when in the concept phases, education with engineering backgrounds, much more.
