With a complete focus on yaoi themes and exclusive related interests, fans of this particular genre did not hold their breaths when it came to active audience participation.  The discussions roamed free and numerous questions were answered in what was a clear and determined effort to be as informative and educational as possible about an area that raises many eyebrows.

Broccoli Books: A representative was on hand to talk about the latest in manga offerings from the Broccoli division as discussion featured Digi Charat, Juvenile Orion, Galaxy Angel, and Digi Charat theater artworks, shitijiki artworks, promotional cards, and manga overviews.

 
Cosplay or Costuming?: Panelists and attendees talked about the origins of the term "cosplay" (coined by Nov Takahashi after he saw the costumes at WorldCon in the United States) and supplemented with historical examples of origins all dating back to the early American science fiction and fantasy costumes that so many international fans look forward to seeing every year.

Gundam Wing: Remember when Gundam was all about the boys?  Well, it still is, only the target audience is totally different and the alternative stories have taken a very different route with crops of new female fans completely obliterating the once-dominant male fan groups.  At Yaoi-con, fans talked about their favorite characters, new and current favorite fan fictions, favorite Gundam Wing episodes, music soundtracks and follow-up song collections, cosplay interests, sexual tension between the characters, and of course, what girls liked best about Gundam Wing: "Pretty boys that blow stuff up."  That pretty much sums it up!

Yaoi Family Feud: It's bishounens vs. bishoujos in the fight to the finish in this heated mental battle of wits and wisdom...  all in yaoi!  Fabulous entertaining trivia included characteristics of uke and semi, sizes of favorite bishounen, ratings of effeminate gestures, Gundam Wing madness, and what characters whine the most.

Fruits Basket: Attendees gathered together to talk about one of the most beloved current shows.  Topics featured an introduction to the characters, story developments, personality traits and their backgrounds, various fan fictions, and how dysfunctional lives appeal to the anime and manga fans.

More Yaoi Game Shows: Bingo!  Bingo!  Get your Bingo!  Yaoi fans gathered together en mass and places their chips and bets to vie for prizes and be entertained on everything coming from yaoi-focused trivia.  Additional scheduled yaoi game shows featured Yaoi Dating Game and Yaoi Trivial Pursuit.
