Welcome to another edition
of Linus Lam Network News for 2008! This news report covers our trip
to Yaoi-con 2008 for a huge weekend of anime and manga enjoyment and
a whole lot more for 2008! Held at the Marriott San Mateo-San Francisco Airport
over the weekend of September 26-28th, 2008, Yaoi-con 2008 saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of
dedicated artists, live performances, and plenty of opportunities to hang

| Highlights: Various live programming events kept the attendees well-covered throughout the weekend.
Guest of Honor this year was Nase Yamato, known for Chintsubu and
other works. Big events included Iron Yaoi Writ-AAAH!, Cosplay Contest,
Bishounen Auction, Bishounen Bingo, Swap Meet, Anime Music Videos, Karaoke, and Guest panels. Panels and workshops included functions like
drawing, collecting ball-jointed dolls, chat sessions with various Guests and Noted Fans, Industry Guests, and lots more.
Hungry and need some Yaoi-flaovered entertainment? Yaoi-con also
proudly dished up another round of butler cafe re-christened "Cafe
V", a reservations-only event where you could grab a spot of
delicacies served by sexy butlers! |

saw lots of inspired costumes from numerous anime and manga characters and more! Chart-topping displays for this year included characters from
