Sakura-con 2005 had a
lot of extras to add to the usual list of convention essentials. Arts and Crafts room
held up a good crowd of fans displaying their latest Japanese culture exhibits and paintings
brought back from their trips to Japan and also featured an interactive zone where fans could
learn to build their own cultural pieces. The Karaoke Lounge kept a good crowd of
contestants vying for top prizes and a chance to hear some very competitive vocal singers
dishing out the very best of their talents for the audience. Anime Music Live Jam
Session was equally entertaining with up and coming bands exhibiting their ongoing work.
Video Screening rooms were available for many who came to watch all of their favorite shows on
the large screen or for anime collectors who wanted to sample shows before they buy from the
dealers. Additional notable interests included a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony,
Voice Acting workshops, Guest Receptions, numerous art contests. And just when you thought you've seen everything, there's always more in the
Art Show, Artists Alley, Gaming rooms, and Panels and workshops. |
