The most popular parts of the anime convention scene are the panels and discussion groups that speak out for unique interests pertaining to the hobbyist in all of us.  This year at SakuraCon 2004, numerous panels packed in the crowds to listen in and emphasize fan participation.  In this section of the convention environment, we'll show you some of the exciting panels to be at throughout the busy weekend schedule.

Michael Dobson and Scott McNeil: This entertaining duo lit up the scene with their stories about their voice background on such shows as Transformers, GI Joe, and others.  Topics included having real jobs to earn a decent paycheck, their first voice gig experiences, Scott McNeil cosplayers, pointing out the American cartoon way of dubbing jobs to anime industry ways, and much more.

Hiroki Kikuta: Composing game music is no easy task as Mr. Kikuta detailed the processes and stories about how games are influencing the game genre.  Mr. Kikuta was interviewed by Nobuo Uematsu himself and his work can be found in many Square releases, with sound effects for Romancing Saga, music for Second Densetsu, and giving direction for entertainment and artistic impression in the game music industry.

Geneon: Last Exile, Chobits, Heat Guy J, Sailor Moon SS Collector's Box, and more special editions.  Fans of these awesome shows got a chance to peek at the latest offerings by Geneon, previously known as Pioneer Entertainment, with Guests of Honor in attendance to further solidify their support and intentions to release more anime this year.

Mechanized Propulsion Systems: Dedicated fans of giant robots gathered at the MPS panel to listen in the latest developments.  Topics included building the frame building, subsystems controls, transport vehicle support, hydraulic balance mechanisms, using Chevy blocks for engine power, customized gyroscopic systems, and numerous details on modular construction and mechanical engineering.
