of Linus Lam Network News for 2008! This news report covers our trip
to Otakon 2008 for a huge weekend of anime and manga enjoyment and
a whole lot more for 2008! Held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland
over the weekend of August 8-10, 2008, Otakon 2008 saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of
dedicated artists, live performances, and plenty of opportunities to hang

| Highlights: Various live programming events kept the attendees well-covered throughout the weekend. Big events included Cosplay Contest, Anime Music Videos, Karaoke, and Guest panels. Panels and workshops included functions like
Anime Crash Course, Rhythm Games, Dubs That Time Forgot, Dub Acting,
Podcasting for Dummies, Gaia Online, Anime in Black and White, Comics for
Manga Readers, Tokyo Travel on a Budget, Yaoi Press, Life Drawing, Tales
of Fandom, Making Visual Novels, Women in Webcomics, Otaku Idol Contest,
Adult Cosplayers, Henshin Heroes, Journey to Silent Hill, Tokusatsu,

This year's trip to Otakon
