Welcome to another edition
of Linus Lam Network News for 2007! This news report covers our trip
to Otakon 2007 for a huge weekend of anime and manga enjoyment and
a whole lot more for 2007! Held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland
over the weekend of July 20-22nd, 2007, Otakon 2007 saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of
dedicated artists, live performances, and plenty of opportunities to hang
out with fellow anime and manga fans. Our exciting trip to Otakon 2007 starts here! Coverage you can count on, here at Linus Lam
|Highlights: Various live programming events kept the attendees well-covered throughout the weekend.
Guests of Honor included Morio Asaka, Ryuhei Kitamura, Kenji Kodama,
Michihiko Suwa, Steve Yun, Mamiko Noto, Tomokazu Seki, Attack All Around,
Eminence, Hitoshi Sakimoto, Steve Blum, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Aaron
Dismuke, Vic Mignoga, Jennifer Sekiguchi, Mike Sinterniklaas, Little
Gamers, and Fred Gallagher. Big events included Cosplay Contest, Anime Music Videos, Karaoke,
Iron Editor Challenge, Otaku Idol, and Guest panels. Panels and workshops included functions like voice acting, chat sessions with various Guests and Noted Fans, Industry Guests, and lots more.
This year's trip to Otakon
saw lots of inspired costumes from numerous anime and manga characters and more! Chart-topping displays for this year included characters from
One Piece, Hellsing, Ouran Host Club, Sailor Moon, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Trinity Blood, .hack//GU, and much more!

|Miscellaneous: From Artists Alleys to Art Shows, Anime Music Videos to casual conversations with esteemed Guests of Honor, shopping inside the Dealers Hall to participating numerous panels, you can always find something to do at Otakon. Smaller but more casual functions you can visit were the Manga Reading Room, Modeling Contest, LARP, Otachan, Photo Suite for cosplay photos, and of course, plenty of Video Gaming. Actually, on the Video Gaming note, Otakon just happens to have the nation's largest gaming arena, filled to capacity with all the latest hardware consoles, arcade machines, large screens, and the best of the most popular video games on demand. When it comes to size, Otakon has no equal.|
