Welcome to another edition of Linus Lam Network News for 2009!  This news report covers our trip to Ohayo-con 2009 for a huge weekend of anime and manga enjoyment and a whole lot more!  Held at the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio over the weekend of January 29 - February 1, Ohayo-con 2009 saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of dedicated artists, live performances, and plenty of opportunities to hang out with fellow anime and manga fans. Our exciting trip to Ohayo-con 2009 starts here!  Coverage you can count on, here at Linus Lam Network News!

Highlights: Various live programming events kept the attendees well-covered throughout the weekend.  Guests of Honor included Applegeeks, Chris Ayres, Greg Ayres, Robert DeJesus, Aaron Dismuke, Jan Scott Frazier, Caitlin Glass, Matt Greenfield, Tiffany Grant, Jerry Jewel, Bruce Lewis, Dave Lister, Mike McFarland, Vic Mignogna, Chris Patton, Antimere Robinson, Rikki Simons, Tavi Wolfgarth-Simons, Michael Sinterniklaas, Doug Smith, J. Michael Tatum, Brett Weaver, and David Williams.  Big events included Cosplay Contest, Anime Music Videos, Karaoke, Cosplay Chess, Anime Millionaire, Anime Name That Tune, Anime Let's Make a Deal, and Guest panels. Panels and workshops included Tokusatsu, Poofy Dress Cosplay Exhibition, Artist's Roundtable, Traveling to Japan, Japanese Folklore, Designing Characters, Breaking Creative Blocks, Cosplay 100: Getting Started, Photography for Photographers, Found Object Cosplay, Hand-held Gaming, Anime Fight Club, ADR Direction, Hello Kitty, How to Draw Manga, Crafting Your First Webcomic, Lolita Crush, Mock Combat for Cosplay, AniCoz, Make-up 101, Cosplay Construction, Anime Journalism, Video Editing 101, Otaku and Media Literacy, Acting Stage vs. Studio, Old School Anime Showcase, and lots more.  
Cosplay: This year's trip to Ohayo-con saw lots of inspired costumes from numerous anime and manga characters and more! Chart-topping displays for this year included characters from Vocaloid, Evangelion, Devil May Cry, Ah! My Goddess, Gurran Lagaan, Bleach, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, D. Gray Man, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, Sailor Moon, and much more!
