From cosplay to trivia games to a whole lotta karaoke, Ohayo-con 2005 saw lots of activity from day 'til night and it almost seemed like the weekend would last forever.  What an absolutely awesome way to start the new year.  LLNN managed to capture some of those highlights for this anime convention, so please enjoy and y'all come back now, ya'hear!

Main Events

Main Programming Events: With a big convention center footprint for this year, Ohayo-con was able to 
spread its events out even more.  Topping the list of main events included the big Guest of Honor Roast for Robert 
Dejesus (above), Actors Presence with Tiffany Grant, Greg Ayes, and monica Rial, Anime Music Videos, Video 
Viewings with Fantamation Studios, Dubbing Workshop with Jeff Thompson, Midnight Madness, 
and a big concert with Steve Conte.

Additional events were added to the usual convention menu sure to please the new and veteran attendees.  
The J-Ongaku room featured Introduction to J-hiphop/rap, Karaoke, J-Rock samplers, Mini-moni, Red Apple, 
Fashion Design Contest, J-pophouse, Dir en Gray videos, and Morning Musume.  Ohayo-con Cafe featured open 
discussions including Anime for the Kids, Silent Hill, Ohayo-con Forum Meet and Greet, Manga Discussion, 
Web Design Critique, Deviance in Anime, and a cool Ohayo-con Coffee Social.

Following are some of the highlights of the cosplay skits for Ohayo-con 2005.

Lord Katsu Jinnai makes a grand entrance as he opens up the Ohayo-con 2005 Cosplay Contest night.


Real Emotion featured junior FFXers dancing to the title song's beat. Yummy yummy yummy yummy takoyaki~  This Supai-chan helps you remember your Anime Things.
Guts can't wait to kill people who steal Clow Cards, and well, he sure loves his sword!


Pledging allegiance to Tezuka, anime, manga, bishies, and visual kei for all.  Oh the yaoi sticks! Con Hunter is on a quest to shop the Ohayo-con dealers room, but hits some snags along the way...
Roy Mustang presents lessons on bishounen and bishoujos, complete with miniskirts, yaoi, and crazy fanboys.


Anime characters show what happens when TV executives censor voice acting and violent action scenes. It's Forbidden Love with characters from the interpretive world of gothic J-Rock
Tsunade tries to show Kakashi the wonders of yaoi doujinshi amid a whole lotta steamy Naruto drama.


In the world of Petshop of Horrors, a client wants a refund for a broken pet whose a little more than past dead... Yuna performs her Final Fantasy X sending dance
Sailor Moon characters perform Sailor V's C'est La Vie for the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon fans.


The PGSM Dark Kingdom Generals gotta come up with a skit idea quick! Scenes cut from Final Fantasy X-2 show Dark Knight Paine enjoying the glorious dress-sphere adventure a little too much.
Beware the Full Metal Alchemist spoilers!  Those insane characters duke it out for screen time angst.


Underappreciated Old School Anonymous anime and gaming characters "share their feelings" while coping with the modern world. Card Captor Will reminds the folks out there that he's still not gay, he has no shame with poofy skirts, and speaks the truth about YAOI.
Naruto's gotta learn his Cosplayer no Jutsu lessons as given by Juraiya, but it backfires when he creates a total ghetto Narutard.

Bittersweet Revenge presents forgotten characters the Grandis trio from Secret of Blue Water as they rip on Disney's Atlantis. Characters from the Rose of Versailles presented their revolution of the world.
