From Illuminati to Digerati, panels and discussions always bring out the best of anime and manga education.  Here at Nan Desu Kan 2002, LLNN managed to scope what excellent panels were being held and gives a short description of what was covered.

Panels and Discussions 3

Digital Animation with Shawn the Touched: Creator of numerous digital works for AX and White Radish, Shawn led a discussion on the use of Adobe Premiere 4.2 for scene splicing, Lightwave for scene rendering, and exhibited examples of his works like The Item and Tentacle High 3D.  Topics also included making his own sound effects, web media, and DVD vs. VCD quality.
Vocal Musings: Scott McNeil, Tristan MacAvery, and Estevan Olivas led this spirited discussion on what makes the voice actors stay true to their jobs.  It's all about literature, humor, education, not being distracted, experience in radio drama, short demo discs, continuous auditions, staying in character, making connections, faith in knowing that companies always have openings for new talent, and of course, the glomp stories.

Additional panels and discussions held throughout the weekend included: Shoujo Roundtable, Costuming the NDK Way, Soul in Japan, MacAvery's Writer's Chat, Bob Bergen Hollywood Style, Writer's Recipe Scripting, Voice Actor's Adventure, Nov. Takahashi's Industry Update, IronCat Roundup, Mari Iijimi Guest Focus, Raijin Comics, Fetish Panel, Filking Fan Bands, Dejesus: Breaking Into Comic Industry, Sound Advice, Translation Theory, Art and Spirit with Nobuyuki Ohnishi, Video Gaming, Writer's Roundtable, Anime Issei, Rainy Day Anime, Traditional Spirits in Anime, and Old Farts Panel.
FanFiction Talk: Representatives of the fan fiction community gathered together to talk about how authors can improve their skills in drama, short stories, action adventures, comedy, romance, and keeping a wary eye on character development and story.  Topics also included hot items like Fushigi Yuugi, BubbleGum Crisis, Evangelion, Ghost in the Shall, and much more.
