Festival of Anime 2003 |

 Costume Contest: Cosplay excitement kicked in that evening with
a big anime costume parade around the steps and lots of cool prizes awarded to best Bandai
character, Best Cosmic Debris, and many more. Characters came all kinds of anime shows and
video games including Digi Charat, X 1999, Lupin, Fushigi Yugi, Zelda, MegaMan, Gundam,
Rurouni Kenshin, Final Fantasy, and many more. |
Action Theater: Anime screenings taking place this year
included: Junkers Come Here, Infinite Ryvius, Witch Hunter Robin, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie,
and s-CRY-ed. Panels and discussions included: Bandai Entertainment, Guest Doug Chiang
and his newest novela creation "Robata", and an autograph session with Kari Wahlgren, the voice of Robin Sena
from Witch Hunter Robin. |
| Additional features exclusive to the Metreon Anime Festival
included a Gundam Model Building Contest, Portal One Gaming passes for lots of video game
play, a sneak preview of the newest Astro Boy anime release in the Action Theater, a big
music party in the Portal One arena with mixes provided by DJ Xis, and a timed release of
lots of new titles and merchandise in the newly expanded Bandai America and Bandai Entertainment
stores. |
