anime convention and Japan has plenty of them as well. But Hawaiians, especially those who could not afford to travel across the ocean have indeed longed to attain the status of the elite conventioneering groups. Special Guests of Honor for the inaugural Kawaii-kon 2005 included S. Kai Bovaird (Cause & F(X) Pictures), Robert DeJesus (artist, writer), Kaveh Kardan (Manager of Software Research and Development at Square USA), David Williams (ADR Director for ADV Films), and very talented voice actors Monica Rial, Jennifer Sekiguchi, and Mike Sinterniklaas. |
