Welcome to another edition
of Linus Lam Network News for 2008! This news report covers our trip
to Katsucon for a huge weekend of anime and manga enjoyment and
a whole lot more for 2008! Held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington D.C.
over the weekend of February 15-17th, 2008, Katsucon saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of
dedicated artists, live performances, and plenty of opportunities to hang

| Highlights: Various live programming events kept the attendees well-covered throughout the weekend. Big events included Cosplay Contest, Anime Music Videos, Karaoke, and Guest panels.
Musical Guests included Eyeshine and echostream. Guest Voice actors
and actresses included Greg Ayres, Johnny Young Bosch, Tiffany Grant,
Michele Knots, Antimere Robinson, Bill Rogers, and Mike Sinterniklaas.
Webcomics Guests included AppleGeeks, Rob baider, Dead of Summer, Kaja
Foglio, Phil Foglio, Fragile Gravity, Garth Graham, Brad Guigar, Shawn
Handyside, Harknell, Chris Hastings, Chris Hazelton, Matt Herms, Dave
Lister, Chris "Kilika" Malone, Steve Napierski, Jamie Noguchi,
Onezumi, David Standworth, Michael "Mookie" Terracciano, and
Brian Wilson. Additional Guests included Robert Aldrich, Steve

This year's trip to Katsucon 2008
saw lots of inspired costumes from numerous anime and manga characters and more! Chart-topping displays for this year included characters from
Cowboy Bebop, Gurren Lagaan, Ouran Host Club, D.Gray Man, Haruhi Sizumiya,
Avatar, Kingdom Hearts 2, Persona 3, Trinity Blood, Bleach, Naruto, and much more!

From Artists Alleys
to Art Shows, Anime Music Videos to casual conversations with esteemed
Guests of Honor, shopping inside the Dealers Hall to participating
numerous panels, you can always find something to do at Katsucon. Some
nice things to see this year were the Last Chance Myu show staged by Sera
Myu (live action musical Sailor Moon) performers, CosClips cosplay photo
studio set up in the lobby for great personal keepsakes and convention
memories, and plenty of video and live programming tracks to keep anyone
well-informed on today's huge anime and manga landscape. Lots and
lots of stuff out there these days. So how much do you know?
