As modern technology marches forward, we lose a little bit of old traditions, especially that of the Japanese cultural arts and crafts that must be preserved.  Japan Expo was a great chance for many to realize what they're missing, and for others, an opportunity to get just a little bit closer to understanding the evolving Japanese traditional and pop culture.

Japan Expo 2001
Alien Sightings

Located in the large Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles, there was plenty of room for all the dealers booths, staging areas for traditional exhibitions, import auto shows, and then some.
Hungry?  Japan Expo also has its own area for the hungry masses yearning to eat... well, not free, but for a nice low price, you could grab a heaping plate of yakisoba noodles with a drink and other neat foods to satisfy the weekend stomach.

It's hard to get respect in this town!: Well, this year, cosplayers got lots of attention and were asked to show off their spirit for the Japan Expo 2001 festivities including press coverage just outside of the SquareSoft booth and at the Main Stage.
