Japan Town Anime Faire
was located in the middle of Japan Town, San Francisco. Most outdoor events like the
cosplay contest were held in the temple square. The dance, swap meet area, and video
screening rooms were held in the Radisson Miyako Hotel. Console and tabletop gaming
rooms were held in the Best Western Hotel. Other areas of interest only a few steps away
were the next-door Kintetsu shopping mall where fans could pick up CDs, books, and anime at
Kinokuniya, Japan Video, and grab a bite to eat in the numerous Japanese restaurants
