of Linus Lam Network News for 2009! This news report covers our trip
to Dragon-con 2009 for a huge weekend of science fiction and fantasy enjoyment and
a whole lot more! Held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Marriott Marquis Hotel, Hilton Hotel, and Sheraton Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia
over the weekend of September 4th-7th, Dragon-con 2009 saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of
dedicated artists, live performances, gaming events, cosplay fun, and plenty of opportunities to hang
out with fellow science fiction and fantasy fans. Our exciting trip to
Dragon-con 2009 starts here! Coverage you can count on, here at Linus Lam
|Highlights: Various live programming events kept the attendees well-covered throughout the weekend. Big events included
Dragon-con Parade, Dawn Costume Contest, Dragon-con Costume Contest,
Klingon Beauty Pageant, Dragon-con Thriller Dance World Record Attempt,
Lavapalooza, Harry Potter Yule Ball, and Guest panels. Panels and workshops included functions like
Alternate History, American Sci-fi Classics, America Sci-fi media,
Animation, Anime/Manga, Anne McCaffery's Worlds, Apocalypse Rising,
British Sci-fi, Comics and Pop Art, Costuming, Dark Fantasy and Horror,
Electronic Frontiers, Filking, Gaming, Independent Films, MMORPGs,
Podcasting, Reading Sessions, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, Robotics,
Sci-fi and Fantasy Literature, Science, Silk Road: Asian Cinema and
Culture, Skeptics, Space, Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate Multiverse,
Tolkien's Middle Earth, Whedon Universe, Young Adult Literature, Drum

This year's trip to Dragon-con
saw lots of inspired costumes from numerous science fiction and fantasy characters and more! Chart-topping displays for this year included characters from
Superman, Batman, Doctor Who, X-Men, Star Wars, Star Trek, Predator,
Steampunk, Disney universe, and much more!
