LLNN Coverage of DragonCon 2003

Panels and Discussions hosted by DragonCon consisted of tracks listed through Main Programming (Presentations, performances, ceremonies, contests and largest panels), Southeast Trade and Retailers Symposium (Panels and workshops for retailers and store-owners), and Art Workshops and Programming (Art-related panels and programming with attending artists). Tracks listed this year included: British Programming, Filk, Gaming/Tournaments, The Worlds of Anne McCaffrey, Space & Science, Star Trek TrekTrak, Star Wars: Matters of the Force, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, Writer's Track, X-Track, Xena and Hercules, The American Independents, J.R.R. Wheel of Time Breakfast and Books: The Wheel of Time is a fantasy series by Robert Jordan that has amassed a fairly large fan club in love with the huge fantasy worlds and epic storytelling. Enthusiasts gathered together to discuss new releases, artworks, stories involving switching bodies and channeling, and keeping track of author appearances.	British Sci-Fi Media: Red Dwarf fans rejoice! Holly and Hilly were guest panelists for this year's Red Dwarf gathering. Topics featured current standup comedy acts, Red Dwarf movie, remembering episode highlights, poking fun at various characters, discussing the voiceovers, and covering the Red Dwarf rumors.

Gaming Workshop: RPG and Board Strategy gaming fans gathered to listen in on lectures about aerial unit strategies, guarding troop divisions, battle layouts, dealing with feudal lords and knights, combat maneuvers, and listing various books and resources to research for future gaming optimization.	Ghost of the Robot: James Marsters and crew gave a great Q&A session for band fans hot on the trail of these rising musicians. Topics featured musician backgrounds, how the music industry works, favorite music idols like Buddy Holly and Johnny Cash, and much more.

X-Track Hollywood: The Good, the Bad, and the Really Ugly: Film Critics found home here at DragonCon with discussions featuring theater work, pop culture, reviewing screenplays, working in the film critics society, remakes of old Hollywood favorites, examples of creative thinking on a small budget, and pushing the envelope of special visual effects.	Star Wars: History and Evolution of the Jedi Costume: The Jedi Council convened for a fashionable discussion about the latest in Jedi Designer wear. Topics featured episode outfits, custom-made robes, touches to highlight political involvement and personal interpretations of Jedi powers, reviews of various robes, tunic styles, and color palettes, wool vs. flannel robes, and much more.
