Main Events at Dragon Con 2003 featured everything under sun and moon, from concerts to stage shows, and costume contests to dances.  Not your normal science fiction and fantasy gathering, Dragon Con definitely was the place to be to geek out and enjoy the four-day weekend with a huge host of activities to participate in and celebrity events to see.

Main Events

Main Events were spread out all over the area and included: Masquerade Costume Contest, Hallway Costume 
Contest (official unofficial costume contest), Dawn Look-alike Contest (based on Joseph Michael Linsner's Dawn 
character), Robot Battles, Comic Book Quick Sketch, Miss Klingon Empire Beauty Contest, Role-Playing Round-Robin, 
and the DragonCon Film Festival.  Presentations and Ceremonies included introductions to guests and awards 
announcements at Opening Ceremonies, Closing Ceremonies, and the DragonCon Awards Banquet, as well as 
miscellaneous late-night Dances and Drum-Circles, and a Red Cross Blood Drive hosted by Vampires Anonymous.

Theatrical, Musical and Radio Performances included:  Lips Down on Dixie (Atlanta Rocky Horror performance 
troupe), Ghost of the Robot, The Brodingnagian Bards, Voltaire, Emerald Rose, Opland-Freeman, Green Goblin Project, 
Godhead, Meryl Cassie, Soul Dogs, Sins of Lust, and much more.

Special Events like the Drum Circles shown above were hosted at night as well as other scheduled events like: 
Ray Bradbury to Receive Inaugural Futura Award, The Tribe North American Gathering, Second Annual DragonCon 
Parade, Wizards of the Coast/Magic: The Gathering Grand Prix, Comics Art Reception, Dawn Look-alike Contest, 
DragonCon Championship Wrestling, WAGA TV5 and Good Day Atlanta at DragonCon 2003, Atlanta Radio Theater 
Company and Mighty Rassilon Art Players.
