Said before in the Travel section, and you'll hear it here again.  Absolute number one rule when visiting any country different from your own: learn the language.  Number two: understand the country's government.  Number three: understand the travel system.  Now on with the usual oddities and alien sightings that make this report unique!

Japan Comic Market 60
Oddities and Alien Sightings

United Airlines was the official LLNN carrier for this mission.  Flying out on a Boeing 747 with over or under 10 hours of flight time each way was certainly... interesting.  You get to sleep and read a lot.  hehehe
USA to Japan Main course: Sliced beef brisket with Bordelaise sauce served with mashed potatoes, beans with corn, smoke salmon with glass noodle salad and veggie salad, and Eli's Mango cheesecake.
Japan to USA Main course: Grilled chicken breast with teriyaki sauce served with steamed rice and stir-fried vegetables, shrimp and inari-zushi, and a caramel mousse.
LLNN Tokyo Unit "Outis" meets up with California Unit at the airport outside customs!  Talk about great internal service!  Taka was the official escort service to aid in business interpretation (other Usagichan.com business) and give tips on etiquette and provide direction through the massive train routes.  Also attending were secret agents "hyou", "kaki-p", and "Sarahchi" for the tour through Shibuya and Shinjuku.
The Comiket 60 Program and Catalog is the size and weight of a phone book.  Open it up and you have thousands of artists to look through and peruse their ads.  Basically, you find what you want, rip the page out, and use the handy maps inside to get what you want without hauling the whole book around.
No, we didn't get to drive around in one of these, but not to be outdone by human cosplayers, owners of these neat cars were on hand to show off the gas-powered NeCars, the SMART cars from DaimlerChrysler that definitely attract female eyes.

Following the SMART car were cuter versions of a Mazda Miata and Subaru wagon.
The largest indoor all-season skiing palace in the world.  The Skidome!  Maybe someday LLNN will come back and give you an on-the-slopes view!  Someday...  ^_^  Maybe next year!  ^.^
