Welcome to another edition of Linus Lam Network News for 2008!  This news report covers our trip to AnimeUSA 2008 for a huge weekend of anime and manga enjoyment and a whole lot more for 2008!  Held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia over the weekend of October 10-12, 2008, AnimeUSA 2008 saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of dedicated artists, live performances, and plenty of opportunities to hang out with fellow anime and manga fans. Our exciting trip to AnimeUSA 2008 starts here!  Coverage you can count on, here at Linus Lam Network News!

Highlights: Various live programming events kept the attendees well-covered throughout the weekend. Guest of Honor included Versailles Philharmonic Quintet, Peelander Z, Freezepop, DJ SiSen, Patrick Seitz, Cherami Leigh, Caitlin GLass, Chris Patton, Antimere Robinson, Jo Chen, Allison Storm, Lori Collins, Studio Capsule, Applegeeks, Paradox Lost, Yuko Ota, Dominic Deegan, Matt Herms, Shizumi Kodomo Dance Troupe, Garth Cameron Grapham, Geist Panik!, Angry Viking Press, Paradigm Shift, Jez Roth, Tristen Citrine, Dragon's Den Unlimited, and Tee Morris.  Big events included Concerts, Game Shows, Swap Meet, Cosplay Contest, Anime Music Videos, Karaoke, and Guest panels. Panels and workshops included functions like Anatomy of Lolita, Anime and Role Playing Games, Anime Dating Game, Anime Parliament, Anime Podcasting, Anime Theme Song Duel, Awesomely Bad J-Music Videos, Best of Anime Music Videos, Coloring in Photoshop, Comics and Community Service, Cosplay as a Business, Cosplay Chess Game, Costume Pattern Making, Epic Comedy Block, Fanfiction, Fashion in Anime, Gaijin Living in Japan, How to Draw Manga-style, Martial Arts and Fandom, Origami, Parents and Anime, Running a College Anime Con, Scriptwriting and Storyboarding, Sudoku Workshop, Webcomics, and lots more.
Cosplay: This year's trip to AnimeUSA saw lots of inspired costumes from numerous anime and manga characters and more! Chart-topping displays for this year included characters from Vocaloid, Reborn, Code Geass, Tenchi Muyou, hack, Bleach, Tsubasa, Final Fantasy, Naruto, and much more!
