Panels and Discussions 1

You Can't Do That With a Sewing Machine: Not every costume element can be built by threads and fabric alone.  Some pieces like armor, boots, and props need more than just power tools and trips to the hardware store.  Topics included using resin, Bondo for filler, making large heads out of foam, trips to TAP Plastics, fiberglass pieces, benefits and drawbacks of expando foam, and more from the H.C.C. Cosplay veterans, well known for their award-winning Lord of the Rings costume armory.

What You Can Do with a Sewing Machine: Back to the drawing boards with new and exciting costumes to sew, beginners and veterans alike talked about the essentials of costumes for conventions.  Topics included use of shoulder pads, interfacing for strength and solid look, great selection of resources at Joann's Fabrics, dealing with the challenges of shaping and cutting curves with thin and thick fabrics, attaching buttons and beads, and lots more.

PMBQ/Tea Club: From the drawing board to the internet, PMBQ continues onward for the fans of the rising star of online webcomics.  The artists talked about the characters, artistic style, outlets for creative juices, dealing with a complex real life schedule, using mixed media, and thoughts about opportunities for more fans to bring out their talents among the American manga artists.
Clamp: If you thought you knew everything about Clamp, well, this one probably was something you needed!  Clamp fans talked about the history and artwork of Clamp specials like Tokyo Babylon, X, Magic Knights Rayearth, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, Card Captor Sakura, Clamp in Wonderland, and much more.
