Panels and Seminars and Workshops, oh my!  Anime North 2001 offered a wide variety of panels featuring many esteemed Guests of Honor, noted fans, and representatives from the domestic anime industry all heading healthy discussions on various exciting anime and manga-related topics ranging from new shows, fan activities, historical perspectives, and other forms of fan entertainment lasting throughout the weekend.  Packed full of attendees, every single panel or activity offered something to learn from.  If only school or work meetings were this stimulating.

Totally Random Panel: Every convention has suffered at least one early morning cancelled panel for some unknown reason and that's when fans come in and create their own.  Ardent fans decided to talk about all sorts of issues like anime drinking parties, Trigun, the Dealers Room, perversion, and occasional oddities every fan encounters during  their convention experience. Gundamaniacs: It's one of the hottest shows on cable TV and the fan base is growing in directions unforeseen.  But what about the old school Gundam fan base?  Resident Gundam fan experts gathered together to reminisce about classic Gundam stories like Gundam Z, Gundam ZZ, Gundam 0080, Gundam 0083, and dipped into the new shows like Gundam MS 08th team and Gundam Wing.
Transformers 15th Year Anniversary: Fred Ladd (right) and industry representatives from leading production studios in India and North America led fans on a journey through the constant challenges with keeping the show alive and well including English dubbing, production footage, and working with a variety of studios. Transformers Collectors: Join a big Transformers collector with many other collector and you get Metroplex!  A panelist poke with fans of the show regarding the biggest and best Transformers toys and shows, including Metroplex, Fortress Maximus, Beast Wars, Optimus Prime graveyards, Dinobots, and much more.
Coloring Demonstration with Ben Dunn: Ben Dunn of Ninja High School fame led this intensive workshop on coloring tools and use of computer technology to help attendees work with both RGB and CMYK conversions, illegal colors (colors that cannot be reproduced properly), traditional vs. Photoshop tools, alias vs. anti-aliasing techniques, creating color shades, using a mouse vs. Wacom tablet, and use of duotones with opaque layers and levels tools.
