Linus Lam's Coverage of Anime North 2001

With a dazzling array of guests and staging areas, Anime North 2001 filled up the weekend with lots of unique anime fan entertainment including a Red and White variety show, martials arts demonstrations, Sera Myu performances, Meet the Guests reception, courtyard lunches, Masquerade, and tons more activities that would not disappoint!

Meet the Guests Reception along with Courtyard lunches were a big hit as fans could get some nice food and drink, sit down and chat comfortably with luminaries like Shimpei Itoh, Mio Odagi, Fred Ladd, Doug Smith, Steve Bennett, Van Partible, Julie Davis, Tristen Citrine, members of Sailor JAMboree, and many more.

A concert that even still photos cannot do justice, this fast-paced performance held by Sailor JAMboree included Sera Myu-inspired musical numbers held by individual Sailor senshies, group and couple image pieces, and encored with a dazzling final battle number. The following thunderous applause topped off the excitement meter. Sera Myu program included: Moonlight Densetsu, Sailor War, Millennium Senshi / 21st Century, The Last Change, Drive Me the Mercury, Hono No Messanger, Zig Zag Slash, Traditional The Grace, Chasin' After You, Duet - I Miss You, See Me, Solar Miracle Make Up!, Densetsu Seitan, L'amour D'amour, Moonlight, and La Soldier.	(above and below) With help from the ladies of the night, Anime North held an outlandishly entertaining Charity Auction with donated pieces including Sailor Moon plushies, a Naoko Takeuchi signed Sailor Moon holographic poster, Evangelion book set, guests-signed artwork by Anime North's resident artist, a unique family tree of Sailor Moon characters leading up to David Bowie, and many more.
