to Anime Los Angeles 2012 for a huge weekend of anime and manga enjoyment and
a whole lot more! Held at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in Los Angeles, California
over the weekend of January 6-8, Anime Los Angeles 2012 saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of
dedicated artists, live performances, gaming events, cosplay fun, and plenty of opportunities to hang
out with fellow anime and manga fans. Our exciting trip to Anime Los Angeles

| Highlights: Various live programming events kept the attendees well-covered throughout the weekend.
Guests of Honor included Stan Sakai, Dave Merrill, Chris Cason, Tadao
Tomomatsu, Jon Allen, Julie Rei Goldstein, Kyle Herbert, Lauren Landa,
Danielle McRae, Derek S. Prince, Jessica Straus, Jonathan Tarbox, Kaiji
Tang, Stephen Weese, Panda^3, Scott Corum, Todd Johnson McCaffrey, Craig
Miller, Caistarrin T. Mystical, Sionna Neidengard, Sean O'Mara, Stan Oh,
Matt Schley, Justin Sevakis, and Christina Vee. Big events included Cosplay Contest,
Cosplay Chess, Scavenger Hunt, Rum party, Anime Music Videos,
Anime Trivia Contests, Karaoke, and Guest panels. Band performances
included Momotama, Kairu, Stephanie Yanez, Dig Jelly, Tanuki Suit Riot,
and Raj Ramayya. Panels and workshops included functions like JPop
vs. Kpop Royal Battle, Voices in Video Games, Anime Con Journalist, Rise
and Fall of the OVA, Anime Song Singing, Buried Treasures of Anime, Secret
History of Gainax, Oriental Fusion Handcraft Workshop, Living and Working
in Japan, Fan Fiction Workshop, Otaku Self-Defense, Animation Rotoscoping,
Manga as High Art, Touhou Dance Workshop, Anime Jeopardy, Angel Hearts
IdolMaster, Destruction of Tokyo, Video Games Musicals, Anime Let's Make A
Deal, Anime Then and Now, Playing and Running RPGs, History of Lupin III,
Anime Fandom Before the Internet, and lots more. |

This year's trip to Anime Los Angeles
saw lots of inspired costumes from numerous anime and manga characters and more! Chart-topping displays for this year included characters from
Hetalia, Touhou Project, Tiger and Bunny, Macross Frontier, Pokemon, Panty and Stocking,
Catherine, My Little Pony, Bleach, IdolMaster, Madoka Magica, Black Butler, Blue Exorcist, Durara, Final Fantasy,
