Main Events for Anime LA 2005 included plenty of Karaoke, interviews and ceremonies with the Guests of Honor, concerts, cosplay, and more.

The Illustrious Guests of Honor: (left) Jerry "Sprite Monkey" Koudelik (Secret of Mana Theater), (center) Caroline ("Carmen") Curtis (9th Elsewhere) and (not shown) Toastmaster: Tadao Tomomatsu ("Mr. Shake Hands Man") with Anime LA chairman on the right.  Additional surprises included Greg Snegoff and Michael Bradley (the voices of Scott and Lancer in Robotech).

 
The Random Ninjas: On keyboards, electric guitars, and full bass, the Random Ninjas performed selected anime tunes from such anime series as.. surprise surprise... Naruto!  Members included: Funk Masta Ninja on the turntables, Teenage Ninja Intern on the vocals, Sub Noe on the drums, Supa Lucha Ninja on the Taiko drums, Full Metal Ninja on the bass, and Kunoichi Oyuu on the keyboards and vocals.

Anime LA 2005 Masquerade: With the daytime slowly coming to and end and the evening festivities just 
gearing up, attendees started trickling into the roomy main events hall where the Masquerade was being held.  
With walk-ons and skits, this year's Anime LA cosplay entries included characters from Guilty Gear X, Sailor 
Moon, Gundam, Inuyasha, Bleah, Final Fantasy, Rurouni Kenshin, Battle Royale, Full Metal Alchemist, 
Under the Glass Moon, Legend of Zelda, Harry Potter, Kaska, and more.

Master Zero presented an original Ninja Gunslingin' Gundam
It's another Final Fantasy showdown as contestants vie for audience approval

Shippo from Inuyasha Gomu Gomu no Cosplay presented Bleach in all of its love drama glory
Gainax Boy presented fan service for the yaoi-loving Kenshin fans

Masquerade, an original costume It's Battle Royale in the dawn of a new millennium
Gunner Lulu, a customized version from Final Fantasy X

Alex Louis Armstrong from Full Metal Alchemist J-Rocker, an original design
Squall Leonhart from Final Fantasy VIII Ifrit from Under the Glass Moon Legend of Zelda presented Link of Time saving the day with glorious dancing

Baralai from Final Fantasy X-2 An unexpected loving moment with Inuyasha and Seshomaru from Inuyasha Slutty Time Travel with Harry Potter presented Hermione getting fed up with Harry and moving on to Malfoy

Kaska presented a little song and dancing for bishounen love Captain Jack Sparrow is on another arduous adventure with gunfights and swords... and magical feathers.

Sephiroth and Cloud and additional characters from Final Fantasy VII duke it out for ultimate supremacy
