Packing in the attendees, every panel offered something to learn from, whether you were into the discussion subject or not, as shown below with a brief description of each session.  This weekend's explorations delved straight into the heart of current fandom that lies in the surging excitement of fan fiction, cosplay, collectors gatherings, as well as new and exciting anime shows, video games, and manga to focus on for the next year.

Writing 101: Fanfiction writers rejoice!  Interested fans of this area came to listen to experienced authors talk about steps to getting published, story and character development, deciding on how to write for sci-fi or fantasy, and even making proper letters to send to publishing houses.

Unholy Trinity's Influence on Anime: The dark and moody era of cyberpunk is all the rage and shows like Genocyber, Silent Mobius, Bubblegum Crisis, and Armitage III still have dedicated fans.  Topics involved dysfunctional characters, explaining dystopian worlds, vigilantism, and sticking to pure science fiction.

Wig Care and Styling: Experienced cosplayers who travel to many cons provided great advice for wig newbies.  Topics involved favorite wig colors, online shopping resources, proper storage and transportation of wigs, creating buns and ponytails, and styling wigs just right so you too can become the next Chun-Li or Belldandy!

Anime Music Videos: AMV creators gathered together for this big seminar and review of the latest technology and inspirations.  Topics included music and anime choices, compilation times, thematic issues, choosing the right lyrics, Macs vs. PCs, making DVDs, staying true to your own vision and ideas, and submitting to cons for upcoming AMV contests.

Anime Trivia Game Shows: Think you got what it takes to be the ultimate otaku?  Randy Entertainment was proud to present their A-kon 15 lineup of more game shows for the weekend!  Shows included Anime Press Your Luck, Anime Password, Anime Name That Tune, Anime Match Game, Anime Tic Tac Dough, Anime You Don't Know Jack, and Anime Pyramid.

Cosplay Performance: Cosplay on stage isn't all abut great looks, it's also about pose and stature. Experienced cosplayers and cosplay judges gave advice on how to perform well on stage even in the sea of stagefright, large crowds of fans staring at you, and nervousness.

Costuming Roundtable: Veteran cosplayers from Paper Wings Cosplay talked about their latest creations and inspirations.  Tpics featured fabric shopping, sewing machine stories, making feather wings, resin casting, making parts out of plastic and fiberglass, and shopping online and offline for the neatest items to complete that right kind of look for the latest cosplay work.
How to Start an Anime Club: Like any club, an anime club still clings to the traditional hardships every year to survive and then be a success.  Topics featured college sponsors, fundraising, permission to show licensed videos, advertising, membership fees, keeping tape or DVD collections, going to conventions or shopping trips, and much more.
