Ikebukuro Sunshine City
is an anime and manga fans dream city, and AX Tokyo was located right in the middle of all the
action! Who needs a dealers room when you could walk right outside and within a few
steps be inside the anime shop of your dreams! All around Ikebukuro were plenty of shops
and interests including: Tora no Ana doujinshi store, Geo with used games and videos, Sakura
Cafe with the one and only Sakura Taisen cafe and gift shop, Shinjuku Shoten manga shop,
Gamers / Broccoli anime and manga shop, Closet Child with gothic lolita apparel and
accessories, Animate with 8 floors of anime and manga and gaming goodness, Books Rashinban
with used books and doujinshi, K-Books with character goods and trading cards, Manga no Mori
manga shop, Toys R Us with a definite difference in selection of anime goods not seen in
America, Tare no Panda ya with Tare Panda and Ghibli goods, NamjaTown food court and gaming
center, Sega Gaming with cosplay picture booths and UFO Catcher machines, and lots of busy
karaoke parlors open hours around the clock! And yes, plenty of food places, too, for
when you just have to sit back and rest those tired feet! |
