A special non-competing entry for the AX96 Masquerade was built in record time by Mark "Emerson" Chadwick, Eric "Scanner" Luce, and Lionel "KyouBoogy" Lum.   And what better subject to choose than these staffers' favorite: Sharon Apple!  Little did anyone know it would be sold and make a comeback at AX2000...

First Place: Mark Salisbury for "RX-78 Gundam"
Second Place: Chantal Scott and Joshua Follick for "Totoro"
Third Place: Kier Bass for "Shirotsugu Lhardott"
Best Presentation: Yoshito Kurisu for "Action Kamen"
Judges' Choices: Kayt Roberts for "Magical Girl Pretty Sammy", David Ramsay for "Char Aznable", Tipatat Chenriarsin for "Great Saiyaman", and Mike Mendoza, Martin Do, and Van Phan for "Street Fighter" 
Prizes included: $500 cash from Nikaku for First Place, $250 shopping spree from Viz for Second Place, and $150 shopping spree from Kimono My House for Third Place.
