Panels, panels, and more panels, and did we forget discussion time for Q&As?  From voice acting sessions to anime clubs, Guests of Honor to game shows, AX2005 had more panels and events than even the craziest single attendee could even attend.  With so much stuff to see and do, it proved extremely challenging to provide coverage on most of the panels, but LLNN managed to capture some of the highlights of weekend.

Tales from the Editing Bay: Experienced AMV veterans talked about their latest endeavors including notes about forming new ideas to top last year's amazing crop of AMVs, different editing processes, best software and hardware to use, horror stories, and expectations from yourself and the fans when making AMVs for the public to enjoy.

Copic Marker Workshop part 1: This workshops delved into the basics of coloring line art and included topics such as basic marker colors, prioritizing lights and darks, experimenting with shading, applying skin tones, fiddling with gradients, and of course, constantly practicing until you've got a good groove down.

Tea Ceremony: You could almost hear a pin drop in this very traditional tea ceremony demonstration.  From mixing and boiling the tea leaves to serving it to guests, to proper bowing and make-up, the Japanese tea ceremony is indeed a very detailed process of respect and harmony to give the proper amount of attention to the tradition that Japan has held onto for many generations.

Kimono Demonstration: The buying experience is one thing, putting on the kimono is quite another.  This workshop taught new and veteran kimono buyers how to properly put on the kimono in the truest Japanese tradition for festival events or for formal arrangements.  From the undergarments to unfolding and applying the finishing touches of display perfection, this workshop proved to be quite an eye-opener for those who thought you could just put on any kimono without care.

Anime News Network: A staple of the growing anime fandom information conduit, ANN continues to delve out the latest headlines on new anime releases, new products from companies, juicy gossip on upcoming anime titles, as well as their adventures through space and time at anime conventions and balancing it all out with their real life schedules.

Gaia Online: With over 100,000 users, Gaia Online has enjoyed incredible success at being the king of the anime and manga online community featuring a library of fan-inspired anime art, popular links of the day, RPG discussion forums with unique customizable visual interfaces, and a money system allowing credits to enjoy additional features for the dedicated fans.

Anime Trivia: This year's trivia extravaganza hosted name that anime tune, jeopardy-style games, and few more events that bogled the minds of both contestants and audience members with questions involving Evangelion, Azumanga Daioh, Real Bout High School, Video Girl Ai, Get Backers, Battle Athletes, Initial D, and much more.

Copic Marker Workshop part 2: Working from the first Copic workshop, more advanced skills could now be picked up which included shading, gradients with different colors, using different skin tones, lighting effects, and much more.

Sushi, Agamono, and Ramen Demonstration: Think you know everything there is to sushi and wasabi?  This workshop taught hungry attendees how to cook up your own yummy recipes on a tight budget.  With a cavalry of soy sauce and rice, the menu included numerous plates of sushi, ramen, and much more.
Japanese Artists: With Ms. Shimogasa of Sailor Moon anime, Mr. Yamashita of Howlin's Castle fame and many more, attendees got a rare chance to explore the realms of character designers in their zones.  Topics covered respect for different styles, the whole design process to make a character for every anime, drawing techniques, working on multiple projects, and much more.
