Workshops are always a great resource for interested fans who want more hands-on learning experience with experts in the fields of traditional Japanese dance, animation techniques, and digital work.  Field specialists from respected colleges and companies helped attendees enjoy their weekend by having them participate in numerous interactive workshops.

Traditional Japanese Dance: World renowned Japanese dancer and choreographer Wakana Hanayagi 
led this packed workshop featuring traditional dance techniques and interactive lessons on the dance floor.  
Ms. Hanayagi is a proud member of the U.S. Conservatory of Japanese Classical Dance and through her 
dances has led numerous sessions to help enhance the cultural horizons of world-minded individuals everywhere.


Deleter: How to Draw Manga: Deleter instructors were on hand to help beginners and seasoned manga enthusiasts review and practice their art forms in advancing towards the next stage of creating their own manga works.  Topics included advanced character designs, drawing techniques, best tools for the job, and constant attention to practice.


Deleter: CG Illustration: Deleter instructors and an area full of computers with Photoshop tools helped beginners and seasoned illustrators practice their skills with advanced tools and techniques.  Topics included learning the details for each tool and the possibilities of each depending on what you could draw and follow-up practice sessions made the afternoon quite a busy time.

Cosplay Wig Making: If cosplay is your thing, then this was definitely the place to be!  Experienced 
cosplayer Katie Bair and fellow associates talked about cosplay wigs including the 'Three C's" (combing, curling, 
and cutting), learning which tools and styling products work best for different applications, tips for translating 
2D illustrations into 3D works of wig art, wig dyeing, and recognizing fiber types for the cosplay wig connoisseur.
