Welcome to another edition of Linus Lam Network News for 2011!  This news report covers our trip to Anime Weekend Atlanta 2011 for a huge weekend of anime and manga enjoyment and a whole lot more!  Held at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Cobb Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia over the weekend of September 30th - October 2nd, Anime Weekend Atlanta 2011 saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of dedicated artists, live performances, gaming events, cosplay fun, and plenty of opportunities to hang out with fellow anime and manga fans. Our exciting trip to Anime Weekend Atlanta 2011 starts here!  Coverage you can count on, here at Linus Lam Network News!

Highlights: Various live programming events kept the attendees well-covered throughout the weekend. Guests of Honor included Naoko Matsui, Yoshitoshi Abe, Todd Haberkorn, Vic Mignogna, Brina Palencia, Amy Howard Wilson and David G. Wilson III, Robert and Emily DeJesus, Doug Smith, Tim Eldred, Carl Gustav Horn, David Williams, Neil Nadelman, Steve Yun, Moon Stream, The Suzan, Yaya Han, Riddle, Pikabellechu, WeGo4Kyo, and LimeBarb.  Big events included Cosplay Contest, Anime Music Videos, Anime Trivia Contests, Karaoke, and Guest panels. Panels and workshops included functions like Hetalia History, Gaia Online, History of Hentai, Touhou Project, Transformers, Otaku Fusion Bellydancing, Sewing 101 with GSTQ, Anime You Should Watch, Retro Sailor Moon, Kimono 101, Sociology in Cosplay, Art of Akira, Con DJ 101, Indie Manga, Running a Costume Business, Cosplay on a Dime, Wig Styling with GSTQ, Cosplay Science, Spooky Classic Anime, Mold Making, Secrets of Lighting in Photography, Japanese Street Fashion, Victorian Etiquette, Literature in Anime, Robotech, Votoms, Advanced Photography, Anime Treasures, Stone Age Mecha, Anime that doesn't Suck, Photoshop Tricks, Life Drawing, How to make your own Plushie, Inking Workshop, Bento 101, BJD, Recycled Cosplay, Traveling in Japan, Mecha 101, Translating Art into Cosplay, Origin of Anime Fandom, Cosfluff 101, Couples Cosplay, and lots more.
Cosplay: This year's trip to Anime Weekend Atlanta saw lots of inspired costumes from numerous anime and manga characters and more! Chart-topping displays for this year included characters from Panty and Stocking, Madoka Magika, Final Fantasy, Black Butler, My Little Pony, Dragonball Z, Hetalia, Slayers, Sailor Moon, Persona, Avatar, Bleach, Macross Frontier, Soul Eater, and much more!
