Welcome to another edition of Linus Lam Network News for 2009!  This news report covers our trip to Anime Weekend Atlanta 2009 for a huge weekend of anime and manga enjoyment and a whole lot more!  Held at the Rennaisance Waverly Hotel and Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia over the weekend of September 18th-20th, Anime Weekend Atlanta 2009 saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of dedicated artists, live performances, gaming events, cosplay fun, and plenty of opportunities to hang out with fellow anime and manga fans. Our exciting trip to Anime Weekend Atlanta 2009 starts here!  Coverage you can count on, here at Linus Lam Network News!

Highlights: Various live programming events kept the attendees well-covered throughout the weekend. Guests included Troy Baker, Vic Mignogna, Caitlin Glass, Amy Howard Wilson and David G Wilson III, Samantha Inoue Harte, Jennie Breeden, Camilla d'errico, Robert and Emily deJesus, Misako Rocks!, Rikki Simons, Tavisha Wolfgarth-Simons, Fred Perry, Tim Eldred, Luke Feldman, Helen McCarthy, Carl Horn, Neil Nadelman, Jonathon Tarbox, David Williams, Omodaka, Peelander-Z, Amazon Mandy, Yaya Han, Pikabellechu, Ashley Clark, Violaine, Outland Armor, Catherine L. Panels and workshops included functions like State of the Manga Industry, History of Hentai, Future was Fab, Outlanders Steampunk, Podcasters Roundtable, Yaoi After Dark, J-Drama, No Sew Design Challenge, Cosplay Etiquette, Cosplay Posing, Sociology in Cosplay, BJD Meetup, Jeff Allen Armor-making Techniques, Make Up 101, Wigs 101, Kimono 101, Fabric Swap, Clamp at 20, Kaiju Dioramas, AIC in the 80s, Anime Filk, Pokemon, 30 Years of Gundam Fandom, Budget Bento Beautification, Otaku Fusion Bellydance, Clasic Mecha, Operation Anime Storm, Tricks with Photoshop, Watercolor Skin Tones, Life Drawing, Inking Workshop, Draw with DeJesus, AnimeBelle's Origami, Cel Painting, Wing Making, Ball Dance Class, Ouran Host Club Challenge, Parapara, AWA Maid Cafe, Fancy Pants Tea Party, and lots more.
Cosplay: This year's trip to Anime Weekend Atlanta saw lots of inspired costumes from numerous anime and manga characters and more! Chart-topping displays for this year included characters from Hetalia, Persona 4, Persona 3, Code Geass, Vocaloid, Black Butler, Kingdom Hearts, Bleach, Gurran Lagaan, Soul Eater, and much more!
