Welcome to another edition of Linus Lam Network News for 2008!  This news report covers our trip to Anime Weekend Atlanta 2008 for a huge weekend of anime and manga enjoyment and a whole lot more for 2008!  Held at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Cobb Galleria Convention Center in Atlanta, Georgia over the weekend of September 19-21, 2008, Anime Weekend Atlanta 2008 saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of dedicated artists, live performances, and plenty of opportunities to hang out with fellow anime and manga fans. Our exciting trip to Anime Weekend Atlanta 2008 starts here!  Coverage you can count on, here at Linus Lam Network News!

Highlights: Various live programming events kept the attendees well-covered throughout the weekend. Guests of Honor included Peter Fernandez, Illich Guardiola, Vic Mignogna, Corinne Orr, Monica Rial, Amy Howard Wilson and David G Wilson III, Travis Willingham, Jennie Breeden, Robert and Emily Dejesus, Camilla d'Errico, Fred Perry, Tim Eldred, Rikki Simmons, Tavisha Wolfgarth-Simons, Carl Horn, Patrick Macias, Neil Nadelman, Jonathan Tarbox, David Williams, Toshifumi Yoshida, The Captains, The Emeralds, Tsu Shi ma Mi Re, Ashley Clark, Violaine, Yaya Han, and Pikabelle-chu.  Main events included Black and White Ball, Animebelle's Trivia Bingo, Japanese Schoolgirl Inferno, Speed Racer World Grand Prix, Totally Lame Anime, Midnite Madness, Anime Music Videos, Cosplay Contest, and lots more.  Panels and workshops included Anime for Dummies, Gundam Primer, Veterans of Anime Fandom, Karaoke, Life as an Artist, Photoshop Tricks, Cosplay Embellishment, Life Drawing 101, Steampunk Fashion, Cosplay Photography, International Cosplay, Otaku Fusion Bellydance, J-Drama, Evolution of Comics, Resin Casting, Vacuforming Techniques, Dollfies, Costume Armor-Making, and lots more.
Cosplay: This year's trip to Anime Weekend Atlanta saw lots of inspired costumes from numerous anime and manga characters and more! Chart-topping displays for this year included characters from Code Geass, Utena, Kingdom Hearts, Phoenix Wright, Vampire Knight, Final Fantasy, Naruto, Bleach, and much more!

Miscellaneous: From Artists Alleys to Art Shows, Anime Music Videos to casual conversations with esteemed Guests of Honor, shopping inside the Dealers Hall to participating numerous panels, you can always find something to do at Anime Weekend Atlanta.  Looking around, we've also seen the AWA Maid Cafe, Peach State Cosplay Society, Bebop Lounge, Anime Time Machine, Rock and Roll Party with the musical Guest of Honor, Karaoke, Ball Dance Class, and the big Black and White Ball.
