to Anime Weekend Atlanta 2006 for a huge weekend of anime and manga enjoyment and
a whole lot more for 2006! Held at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Cobb Galleria Convention Center
in Atlanta, Georgia over the weekend of September 22-24th, 2006, Anime Weekend Atlanta
2006 saw lots of attendees ready to party on with a bunch of
dedicated artists, live performances, and plenty of opportunities to hang
out with fellow anime and manga fans. Our exciting trip to Anime Weekend Atlanta

|Highlights: Guests of Honor included Keitarou Arima, Masahiro Aizawa, Peelander Z, Tsu Shi Ma, Luci Christian, Emily and Robert Dejesus, Lauren Goodnight, Carl Horn, Vic Mignogna, Sasha Paysinger, Neil Nadelman, Fred Perry, Monica Rial, Michael Sinterniklaas, David Williams, Jennifer ekiguchi, Travis Willingham, Amy Howard Wilson, and many more in the realms of AMV Creators, Workshop leaders, and various fan groups. Big events for the convention weekend included Anime Music Videos, Cosplay Contest, Full Metal Alchemest Movie Premiere, Anime Hell, and the Pee-Lander Z Concert. Numerous panels included Voice Acting, Fan Fiction, Evolution of Comics, Photoshop Tips, Anime Academia, Inking Workshops, Manga Writing, Sewing Workshops, and lots more.|
This year's trip to Anime Weekend Atlanta
saw lots of inspired costumes from numerous anime and manga characters and more! Chart-topping displays for this year included characters from Bleach, Tsubasa, Final Fantasy, Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist, and much more!

|Miscellaneous: From Artists Alleys to Art Shows, Anime Music Videos to casual conversations with esteemed Guests of Honor, shopping inside the Dealers Hall to participating numerous panels, you can always find something to do at Anime Weekend Atlanta. Various attractions that make AWA so special are the Cosplay Gallery that displays various award-winning cosplay costumes, a fine dining area for the always-hungry convention attendee, a shopper's paradise inside the cavernous Dealers Hall, and a consistently large amount of Artists in the Artists Alley. As for evening activities, there's always a great night life going on where you can chat with new friends and play some games in one of the many Gaming Rooms, or even just watch some good 'ol anime in the Video Rooms.|
