AFO4's weekend full of
panels and discussions had a full schedule of interesting things to learn and participate in.
From industry leaders to fan functions, fans could sit in and listen to everything from
computer animation to cosplay, manga development to trivia shows, and voice acting to AMVs. |
Anime
Festival Orlando 4 |
Cosplay U.: Experienced cosplayers who've been plying their skills from the east to west
coast helped the cosplaying audience find their route. Topics for discussion featured
performance skits, choices of music to perform to, using dialogue, technical concerns,
keeping things simple, and mixing things up with a little singing and dancing to liven up
the audience. And of course, the biggest thing of all, practice! |
Bemani VDO
Games: Can't get enough of
Parapara? Well, this panel was the place for you, as topics featured import Bemani
games in the lineup, use of keyboards and guitars, and much more. Games talked about
included Drummania, GuitarFreaks, Hip Hop, BeatMania, Parappa, and of course, Para Para
Paradise. |
Kimono: Representatives of popular Japanese arts and crafts community were on hand
to show how to properly put on a kimono. Obviously not an easy task to accomplish
since it requires dedicated skill and patience. Kimono topics included pointing out
the important components of the kimono and proper care and storage of such traditional
items. |
Wigs and
Hairstyles: Emily Dejesus
and Monica Rial led a wig and hairstyle panel to help out cosplayers in need of visual
improvement and refinements. Topics included care of wigs, using big headdresses,
using foam heads for storage, brushing techniques, and always keeping in mind the weight of
what you're wearing on your head. |
