Anime Central 2006 had something for everyone and this year was no exception with more style and panache than ever before.  Opening Ceremonies and Guest Reception Night gathered attention around the packed Guests of Honor list.  The Anime Music Video Contest continued to gather more and more entries as this field grows with more capable technologies for fans to take advantage of digital media.  Masquerade is always the most popular weekend highlight of the year.  And for those with wandering eyes, there's plenty more to be found at Anime Hell, Midnight Madness, numerous Anime Trivia Game Shows, concerts, and lots more.

High Energy Weekend: Holy Toledo, if last year's intermission during the Masquerade wasn't awesome enough, this year's was certainly a wake-up call to the newbies just tuning into the wonderment of Anime Central as a great party-hardy place to get down and groovy.  ACen folks refuse to let anyone hunker down and rest, nope, you gotta get up and DANCE!

Live Entertainment: OK, so you can rest... haha  Fans of the more less-energetic nature were invited to gather around the main hall and listen to the great Spoony Bards who often play tunes from popular videos games and anime throughout the weekend.  The Spoony Bards used to be just a hallway thing, but now they are quite a celebrity so do look forward to seeing them at more cons throughout the year!
