Anime Central 2006 had something for everyone and this year was no exception with more style and panache than ever before. Opening Ceremonies and Guest Reception Night gathered attention around the packed Guests of Honor list. The Anime Music Video Contest continued to gather more and more entries as this field grows with more capable technologies for fans to take advantage of digital media. Masquerade is always the most popular weekend highlight of the year. And for those with wandering eyes, there's plenty more to be found at Anime Hell, Midnight Madness, numerous Anime Trivia Game Shows, concerts, and lots more.

High Energy Weekend: Holy Toledo, if last year's intermission during the Masquerade wasn't awesome enough, this year's was certainly a wake-up call to the newbies just tuning into the wonderment of Anime Central as a great party-hardy place to get down and groovy. ACen folks refuse to let anyone hunker down and rest, nope, you gotta get up and DANCE!	Live Entertainment: OK, so you can rest... haha Fans of the more less-energetic nature were invited to gather around the main hall and listen to the great Spoony Bards who often play tunes from popular videos games and anime throughout the weekend. The Spoony Bards used to be just a hallway thing, but now they are quite a celebrity so do look forward to seeing them at more cons throughout the year!

Cosplay Masquerade Night: And the competition is on as emcees introduced numerous walk-ons and skits for the big party event of the year! OtaQueens presented characters from Legend of Mana singing about their cosplay pride in "ACen the Skit".

With the world safe and secure, Saiyuki only has one more journey: to become the greatest boy band ever. But, complications arise...	Yuuri from Red River graced the audience with a dance titled "Seduction of War".	Brought to you by Pocky and the letter F, Alucard the trained professional teaches some questionable fire tricks on his loyal assistant.

Two girls cosplaying as the same character from Pretear but in different costumes... catfight!	Characters from Naruto and Final Fantasy duke it out... another fight!	Pretend Robot Pants presented the greatest fight skit ever: the ultimate showdown between Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai Champloo, Matrix-style!

Mario Bros. have defeated Bowser and now it's time to kick back and drink a cold one, but things don't always go as planned!	Vash's poem about donuts is disrupted when he's mistaken for being Dante from Devil May Cry and soon has to prove he IS Dante to get with the hottie.	Noa and the Grand Bizarre from Full Metal Alchemist the Movie graces with another seductive belly dance.

Characters from One Pound Gospel presented in musical form.	Characters from Disgaea quarrel over a box of Cheez-Its and use the power of DDR to resolve the debate.	Characters from Kingdom Hearts 2 try to quiet down the whole Axel turning gay thing.

The Prince of the Cosmos wails over how he has to clean up after his drunken parents who scatter remains all over the Universe.	The three legends of Hyrule from Legend of Zelda.	May from Guilty Gear tries to think of a way to impress her man Johnny.
