How do you top an outstanding array of panels in 1999?  By holding even more panels in 2000!  That's exactly what Anime Central 2K did this year with so many forum events and discussions to attend, we couldn't go to them all!  But we did our best to capture as many as we could.  With the exploding popularity of English voice actors, DVDs, manga works, and computer graphics in anime, Anime Central 2K played host to a growing number of audience participation discussions and activity rooms sure to satiate the appetites of even the most hungry convention attendees.

Panels 9

State of the Anime Industry: moderators Matt Greenfield, Jeff Thompson, Jerry Chu, Ryo Mizuno, and Kunihiko Ikuhara talked about anime production in an increasingly evolving American/Japanese anime market. Macross: Do You Remember?  Moderators Neil Nadelman and Dana Weaver spoke about their fan involvements with the Macross phenomena from Minmay worship to Valkyrie missile research. Guest Panel: Chiho Saito and Kunihiko Ikuhara; a repeated panel for those eager attendees who missed the first one, discussion delved into the aspects of creating the Revolutionary Girl Utena manga and developing it into an anime series as well as Q&A about future shoujo anime prospects.
Fan Subtitling Workshop: moderators of various fan-subtitling groups discussed at length their concerns for how to produce a quality subbed work.  Topics ranged from proper font color and font shadow usage to timing codes and good script translations.  Dub Your Own Anime Workshop: moderated by Toshi Yoshida and Crispin Freeman, this packed panel let audience members participate in recording their own voices for Ranma 1/2 anime clips.
Crispin Freeman joins the fun in the Dub Your Own Anime Workshop. More of Dub Your Own Anime Workshop: with numerous takes and often hilarious results, this workshop remains another of anime convention fans' top favorites to attend.
